We are now accepting abstracts for 30 minute slots (20 minute presentations with 5 mins Q&A). The theme is: Wetlands in our Backyards
Abstracts to be a presenter at the 5th Winter Conference are being accepted, with a deadline of January 15, 2026. Submit a short abstract (1/2 page or less) which summarizes the key aspects of the presentation and who will be presenting.
Please provide enough information for the review committee to be able to evaluate amongst a potentially wide range of topics. Please submit abstracts to president@vermontwetlandscience.org.
Not sure about what to present on….? How about turning soggy managed wetland lawns into rain gardens, working with wetlands in stormwater designs, restoration/flood resiliency wetland projects, understanding historical use of wetlands (cedar post harvesting, medicinal uses, peat mining), using wetlands as outdoor education areas, integrating wetland education on new or existing trail systems, increasing wetland awareness or protection zoning in towns.
